PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

Individuals, Couples, and Families

The quest to live authentically is challenging but ultimately transformative. Read more

With hard work and supportive professional guidance, clients have the opportunity to examine persistent, troubling patterns without judgment or shame, and in doing so create space for growth and possibility.

I work with clients age 12 to end of life — individuals, partners, and families — to explore individual and relational challenges that may lead to feeling depressed, anxious, or "stuck."

I offer support with life transitions, including separation and divorce. My work is LGBTQ+ affirmative, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, confidential.

Therapeutic Approaches

How I support individuals, couples, and families. Read more

For individuals, I utilize narrative and behavioral approaches to help clients separate themselves from "the problem" and gain enhanced insight.

Couples/partners can utilize discernment, Gottman, attachment-based and behavioral approaches to work towards enhanced communication and satisfaction.

I value my work with children, adolescents, and their families.

Separation and Divorce

and former partners may need an outlet to discuss the complex feelings that arise along the way. It is my goal as a relational therapist to support partners through the emotional process of moving thoughtfully toward ending their marriage. My work in the family court system has given me full awareness that the process of legal divorce can be adversarial, expensive, and emotionally devastating. I see my role as a knowledgeable and accepting voice to help each partner maintain effective communication with the other and get their needs met as they work through the legal system.

Redefining the Relationship

How we move forward after a relationship ends. Read more

As we transition out of a relationship, so much important work can begin.

How can we redefine and realign the relationship? How do we support the logistical and emotional needs of our children, and maintain relationships with family and friends? What do we want our ongoing relationships to be with our in-laws? How do the two of us move forward, perhaps somewhat battle-scarred, definitely with eyes opened, but ready to embrace the future?

Moving Forward with Respect and Intention

My goal with this process is to support my clients in a purposeful, mutual transition toward what's next. Read more

The goal is to not end up as enemies. The intention is for clients to work effectively with their attorneys and/or mediators to conclude the legal status of this relationship while retaining mutual respect, kindness, and dignity, and to move towards the future – together -- with hope, positivity, and mutually acceptable, achievable goals.
